Objectives
The Erasmediah project aims to address the challenges arising from the widespread use of social media among young people. The focus is the empowerment of youth workers through specialised training and the provision of theoretical insights and practical tools. These resources are intended to strengthen the educational skills of youth workers, enabling them to navigate and have a positive impact on the hyper-connectivity landscape prevalent in social media platforms.
One of the main objectives of the project is to improve the skills and competences of youth workers in addressing the problematic scenarios associated with young people surrounded by social media. The aim is to enable these professionals to skilfully handle the challenges and proactively prevent potential risks resulting from the overexposure of young people to the digital world.
In addition, the project aims to help improve young people’s awareness of the risks and issues related to social media hyperconnectivity. By providing them with valuable tools and knowledge, the project aims to foster a generation of young individuals capable of making informed decisions and navigating responsibly through the complexity of the digital world.
This project is a comprehensive effort not only to strengthen the capacities of youth workers, but also to empower young people themselves. It recognises the intricate interplay between education, technology and social challenges, seeking to create a more resilient and well-informed youth population in the face of the ever-changing social media landscape.
